Horrid NIK Color Efex colors

Recommended Posts

I know that this has been an ongoing issue, however, I am at a crossroads -  renew my Adobe PS/LR subscription or wait it out for Serif to fix the NIK color issue.

Simple question to the Affinity Photo for Windows team - are you working to fix the color issue with the NIK plugins - especially Color efex and if so is there a possible eta?

If not please tell me and I will renew my Abode subscription as I use NIK Color efex or Silver efex for finishing on 75% of my images.

Affinity is a wonderful program, however, for my workflow and image processing NIK has been essential.

Thanks in advance.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

As far as i know, currently Affinity Photo doesn't pass the colour profile info to the plugin. We already have this issue logged but there's not eta for a fix, sorry.

? I am truly confused. I use AP and Nik Color Efex on a daily basis (on every image I edit albeit in different ways) and have no issues.

Original jpg image is passed AP to NIK as is and post processing it returns as I edited it.

Hi PaulAffinity,

What's the colour profile of the images you are working with? If sRGB you will not see much difference. With wider profiles (P3, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB etc) you will see some colour differences.
