pego99 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I would like to use affinity photo with my Lightroom on a PC without preventing using Photoshop and Luminar. Photoshop opens with a Control e and Lightroom allows export to Luminar or I can go to Photoshop and then Luminar under Photoshop. Is there a way I can use Affinity either by exporting to Affinity from Lightroom or using under Photoshop? Quote
Staff stokerg Posted January 9, 2018 Staff Posted January 9, 2018 Hi Pego99 and Welcome to the Forums, Lightroom will allow you to set an External Editor under Preferences, then when in Develop you can click Photo>Edit In Affinity Photo. Quote

But (unless this has changed) you need to have bought AP via the Affinity Store - software bought via the MS Store runs in a sandbox environment which doesn't allow this sort of cooperative working. Very good point! I always forget that, mainly because i spend most of my time on a Mac. But yes you are correct, if Affinity has been brought from the Microsoft Store, then you would NOT be able to setup an external editor in Lightroom. Quote

To be clear - if Affinity has been bought from the Microsoft Store, then you would not be able to setup as an external editor in Lightroom. stokerg 1 Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10

That will teach me to rush a reply out before a meeting. Thanks for the correction and i've edited my reply Quote
pego99 Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 It seems that if I set up Affinity as a external editor for Lightroom I would have to give up using Luminar which I don't want to do. Is there a way to use Affinity as a Photoshop filter as Luminar can do this? Quote
