Jim Monson Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I'm dealing with objects imported from Illustrator and AD docs with different DPI settings in Document Setup (72, 300, 400, etc.). When I copy objects from one doc into another, and these docs have different DPI settings, the objects of course are either larger or smaller on screen, depending on the DPI setting of the two docs. The DPI setting in the Document Settings panel effects the entire doc and not just a single object or a group of objects. Therefore. each time I must calculate the percentage, resize the object and tediously realign placement. As yet I see no way in AD to avoid this time-consuming task. Am I missing something in terms of a quicker solution or must I go through my hundreds of docs and synchronize all DPI settings in order to quickly copy objects from one doc to the other? Quote
John Rostron Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Why does the dpi matter? If you are dealing with vector objects, then they are irrelevant. DPI will only matter if you are printing raster objects. John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). CPU: Intel Core i5 8500 @ 3.00GHz. Staff Lee D Posted January 10, 2018 Staff Posted January 10, 2018 These issues have been logged with the developers to look into, hopefully a future update will offer a better workflow. Quote
