Can We Have A Video Editor by Affinity?

Recommended Posts

It has been posted several times that is not in the plans of Serif, and several of those threads do point to excellent -and a hard market for a company, existing too many free ones quite capable-  free, or low cost, or more expensive video editors out there. Even in the free way, there are a bunch, pretty capable.

Try lumafusion for pro video editing on the iPad. It is to video, what AP is to Photo on iPad.

I’ve just been reading about LumaFusion on the App Store. It looks very interesting, but here’s a puzzler: the LumaFusion Upgrade from LumaFX (obviously aimed at those who already own LumaFX) seems to be more expensive than LumaFusion on its own! :S

Alfred, I can't see prices (having both apps), but possibly this: LumaFX, (standalone app) Lumafusion Upgrade from LumaFX (two app package contains LumaFX and LumaFusion hence dearer), LumaFusion (standalone app).

The developers of this app produced Pinnacle Pro (another great video editor), sold out to Corel (ending development) and setup their own company to produce LumaFusion etc. For video editing on an iPad it is unbeatable. Great support too (just like here :)).

I've just navigated to this iTunes page on my Windows laptop. It says:

Description

Get LumaFX and LumaFusion for one low price. LumaFusion includes all of the functionality of LumaFX in a comprehensive multi-track editor. If you've already purchased LumaFX, you can complete the collection with this bundle and save money.

If you've already purchased LumaFX, why would you need to complete the collection by purchasing a bundle which includes LumaFX? And how does it save you money when the bundle costs $20.99 but LumaFusion on its own costs $19.99?? Surely what they must mean is that if you've not already purchased LumaFX you can get it bundled with LumaFusion for just a dollar extra!! 9_9

I Have to agree. The 'upgrade' bit makes no sense. How much is LumaFX by itself. If more than $1, the 'bundle' approach makes sense.

Apparently, Serif is not doing anything with it. As that site says,

MoviePlus has been discontinued and is no longer available to purchase from our website.

We are now focusing all our development efforts into the new Affinity Range - our next generation of professional graphics and photo editing software.

Unfortunately we do not have any plans to develop a video editing application as part of that suite, at least in the foreseeable future.
