Half Degraded Stroke

I'm looking for a tool to make a half degraded stroke. Affinity has a tool to degrade a stroke but I want to degrade it in a free shape...

I believe that Will_b refers to Gradients that follow a path.

I'm not sure I understood your question either, but if you want to apply a gradient all along a line, you can create a brush with the gradient you want and then apply it to the line of your shape.

 

There is a restriction to this method, the angles should not be too sharp.

You can also use an FX Outline set to contour. Remains editable.
