Affinity Photo 'Focus Area' tool equivalent

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am new to Affinity Photo (just installed the trial version today)

I want to select/isolate from a shallow depth of field photo, the in-focus subject of the photo from the out of focus background and copy and paste the selection into another image. To do this in Photoshop CC, I use the 'Focus Area' Tool.

Is there a 'Focus Area' Tool equivalent in Affinity Photo and how do I access it?

Thank you very much?
