SteveB523 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 How best can I mitigate overexposed (too bright) areas - for example, lamp shades when the lamp is on - from indoor pictures that are otherwise fine? The main parts of the image turned out sell, but the small white areas are distracting. Quote
toltec Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Hard to say without a sample. I assume you are using Photo ? Larger areas, make a selection and adjust levels Smaller areas, use the Burn brush Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
Fixx Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 If you are starting with RAW file Shadows & Highligths tool is what you need, it should recover overexposed areas. Quote
SteveB523 Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 Thank you - that’s the sort of answer I was looking for. I’m working through tutorials now and will post more specific questions with samples as I come to them. Thanks for the starting points! Quote
