Ricafrdo Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I have only recently downloaded Affinity having used Serif Photo Plus for some years. This may be a stupid question for an old 83 year old. but in Photo Plus it was easy to undo any attempt that was not right just clicking on the undo arrow on the top. Playing around the various options to try the system now, the only way I have found to undo my problem is to remove the photo from the interface and open it again and start all over to try something else. I could not find any answer in the book so could someone please help with a simple solution. Thank you. Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 5, 2018 Staff Posted January 5, 2018 Hi Ricafrdo, Welcome to Affinity Forums Here's a couple ways to undo steps: - go to menu Edit ▸ Undo or press ⌘ (cmd) + Z on a Mac or CTRL + Z if you are using Windows; - go to the History panel on the bottom right of the interface and drag the slider to the left to undo your History steps or click on the history steps listed below the slider to go directly to a specific step Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

There are several options to UNDO in Affinity Photo (and Designer, too): Use the usual keyboard shortcut CTRL+z (CMD+z on a Mac, I think) Click on the menu 'Edit' and from there select 'Undo' Finally the History panel. If you don't see it select 'View > Studio > History' This is a complete list of all the work steps you've been doing since opening a file. There is even a slider at the top of the list that let's you 'swipe' through this history. To jump to a particular step you simply click on it. Hope this helps d. Ricafrdo Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Thank you very much for all the help it is really appreciated. Have tried out several options and they work well.. Had no idea about the history item and did not realize that I could undo from the top entry under Edit which shows the item listed to undo. I was looking for just the word undo. Ready to go forward now with more trials. Quote
