vryce12 Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Hi, I have a questions regarding if the Affinity is available for MacPro Desktop? I read through it saying it works with Desktops but when I select to purchase it directs me to Itunes to purchase the program as an APP or for IPAD for $15.00 bucks? The add is saying $49.99. I have an 2007 model macpro. Is there a way to purchase this program for desktop OSX? Thanks! Quote
Staff Lee D Posted January 5, 2018 Staff Posted January 5, 2018 Hi vryce12, Welcome to the forums. We do have free 10 day trials available to try first from our website (bottom of each apps page) To purchase, just open the Mac App Store app on OSX and do a search for Affinity Photo. Quote
vryce12 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Thanks, if I try the trial version after 10 days will I be able to own the program ? Quote
Alfred Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 If you decide to buy the program, you will need to download it separately. There is no way to convert the trial version into a licensed version. Please note that the trial clock runs continuously from the moment you first launch the program, so it's probably a bad idea to start trying it out just before you go away for a few days! vryce12 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Posted January 6, 2018 So it looks like the only way to own the program is if I own an Ipad? Besides just having a Mac Pro desktop (Tower) Quote
v_kyr Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 No, there are also desktop application versions of Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. For the desktop versions you best go to the Affinity website and there select the application you are interested in, then there on the coresponding application page for the respective application, far down at the bottom is a download button. Via that button you can place an email order for getting send to you the download links of a 10 day trial version for Macs. But when downloading one of the desktop trial versions keep in mind and follow the advice Alfred gave above! vryce12 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Posted January 6, 2018 It does, I use to have photoshop CS6 before the subscription ended some time back. I checked it should work. Quote
