So, I use Inkscape before and there is this feature called "interpolate". What this feature does is that you can create a set of new object from 2 object. 

So, for instance, I have 2 rectangle. One is white, and one is pink. If I interpolate both I will get a set of rectangle with color slowly moving from pink to white. This feature is not limited to only color but also to shapes. 

This feature is great for gradient simulation and simple animation. I know that this isn't basic and thus will be worked later but I really wish that Affinity Team will consider this and apply this feature someday.
