Errol
In PS, I have a one key action that inserts a text layer that I use as a watermark on photos that I post. I can have over 50 files so this is useful. I tried making a macro in Affinity and got the notice that: "Cannot record "add a frame text" My workaround is to create an Affinity file with the text layer and copy and past that layer but that involved more keystrokes. Any chance you developers are working on this?
MartinL
I used this method to create a macro for my signature but in the video, the software is in french. Here's the link in case you still want to check it out. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B462hB3jN1idd3RVVTVsSnJ2dTQ/view
Errol
Thanks but I still want an text layer so I can manipulate it to suit the image.
carl123
You can create a .afphoto file with just your text in it Crop (and clip) the document so it is just large enough to contain your text. Then use a File > Place command in a Macro to place that document on your images It will be placed as an embedded document which you can scale accordingly and the text is still editable Note: If when recording the macro you get a message saying "Cannot record Embedded Dirty" (when placing the document) just ignore it and continue, the document will be placed as expected. Errol
Thanks carl123. It works but I cannot assign the macro to a keystroke it seems. It is still a workaround.
