Fatih19 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I bought Affinity designer and install it in my laptop but I recently got a new PC. How to move the software from my laptop to my PC. Quote
Merde Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 There is no need to do that. You can install Affinity Designer on several computers (if you own and use them). Fatih19 1 Quote

R C-R Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 The Windows licensing terms are discussed in this post (among others). As MEB explains there, the relevant part of the license is that "you personally own or control" the Windows PC's you install the software on. There are no other details of what this means than what is included in the license. "Own" should be straightforward enough to require no further explanation. I suppose "control" could be interpreted in a few slightly different ways, but what it amounts to is someone has to be responsible for installing the software & making sure no one uses it in a way that violates any of the licensing terms. Alfred Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I think the “control” aspect is there to cover non-commercial use by other members of your household. If you are the sole user of the software, you may use it on any of your computers, even for commercial purposes. Fixx Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I do not think non-commercial has anything to do with it (unless it is a specifically mentioned in EULA). "Control" may refer to machines that you do not own but your employer or school/university (or anybody) has loaned to you. Quote
