Align node / straight lines

Recommended Posts

Hi,

IDK if I am missing something but I find incredible difficult to do straight line in Affinity. It's a critical tool for doing UI design.

Did I miss something ?

EDIT: by straight I meant horizontal / vertical lines.

The Pen and Node tools are also being improved right now to add more snapping options.

Hi FBC, not sure if this is the place to ask this question but since you mentioned the pen and nodes are being improved... is there a way to transform just the nodes? To rotate or scale them into position?

For example, say I have a rectangle, convert it to curves and select the top 2 nodes with the node tool. How would I scale them together to depict a shape in perspective for example. This is a very common task when creating objects.

Currently the only way I've seen to scale or rotate is with the move tool on the whole shape.

When I saw the title of this post I thought it was about aligning 2 or more nodes? Called averaging in illustrator. Not about drawing a straight or perpendicular line.

For example changing a line with a series of nodes that are crooked into a straight line?  Is this possible yet?

Well, it's actually the case as I went crazy trying to align points to create a line.

But could also be seen as a "snap" feature.
