can't paint on quick mask WIN 7 v 1.6.2.97

that should be the correct way, Works o.k. here.

could you make a screenshot of the setting used?

did you use the shortcut B to switch tools, if so it could be you pressed B twice and selected the color replacement tool.

I just opened the photo again and it worked...I think it has something to do with attempting to change brush size with keyboard shortcut because what I was doing was actually changing the color and opacity when I opened the color panel I could see that I wasn't painting with black. 

I have another post I just replied to with screen shots of what I get when I use Ctrl + Alt +Left mouse button...Ctrl + Alt + Right M5a467daf5e59b_PhotoDec2990933AM.thumb.jpg.a5c16a05c274596a597eaf61b6f047d3.jpgouse Button does nothing
