Burn/black protection on exposure shift, please

It would be nice if there was a little checkbox on exposure compensation that said something like 'Protect detail'. When this is checked, as you slide the histogram up or down then instead of falling off the end, the histogram is compressed, protecting detail and avoiding white burn or blackout.

Thank you and please do have a very excellent 2018 (my journey with you in 2017 has been splendid, btw!)
