Recommended Posts

i was just finishing my drawing, and i have each segment of my drawing in layers, I.e eyes and body being separate. And as i finished one eye,and deselected the area from the magnetic free hand tool, i can not apply anything to any of my layers, nothing will happen. i made a new sheet to see if my tablet it was my tablet, but i could apply things onto it. I dont know what i have done or pressed to allow this to happen.  and opacity is 100%.

Hi Jordan08,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Any chance you can post a screenshot of the application with the Layers panel visible so we can see how you have set up your document/layers, what application you are using (Affinity Photo or Designer) and what tool you have selected/what you are trying to do? I'm assuming you are painting on pixel layers and are having trouble selecting their contents to edit them but i may be wrong/missing something.

Thanks.

I am using Affinity designer, i found the issue i had with the layers, but my biggest issue is trying to select an area to colour and shade, but when trying to do it i'm left with white pixel dots around the edges.

i will link an image up for what i'm meaning, it will be a rough one as i deleted my other drawing in frustration, this wont be my line work, its just an example.

Thank you for the reply.
