gigantic loser Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 While affinity photo for iPad supports many color profiles for editing and exporting including dci-p3, the real time preview of the image when editing on the latest iPad Pro does not appear to be dci p3. The color gamut seems to be clipped to srgb instead. I had a photo shot in dci p3 and edited it in affity photo and the color difference between viewing on the photos app and the affinity photo is noticeable. Please fix the problem and do utilize the wide color gamut display on the latest iPad Pro models. Ps: I use the 10.5 inch iPad Pro, which has a dci-p3 display. Quote
Staff DWright Posted January 2, 2018 Staff Posted January 2, 2018 Hi gigantic loser, Welcome to the forum Attached is a screen recording showing how to apply the P3 colour profile to a image P3 colour format.mov Quote
gigantic loser Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 Thank you DWright for your kind reply and your video! The profile conversion works fine, but what is not good is that the image in this app can only be displayed in sRGB, which doesn't utilize the P3 color gamut of the screen of iPad Pro. And I couldn't find related settings of the app to fix the problem. Maybe, I guess, a software update from the dev is needed to improve on the issue. Thanks again! Quote
