Download Affinity Photo Shortcuts for Mac

Hi,

 

I have just purchased and installed Affinity Photo on my iMac (I have also the iPad version), and in Preferences/Shortcuts there are  only a few shortcuts.

I do not find the shortcuts described in the Affinity Photo Workbook.

Is it possible to download the shortcuts as described in the Workbook.

i do not need a display of the Affinity Photo shortcuts because I have a display of shortcuts in my Affinity Photo Workbook.

I only need that in the application, the shortcuts are programmed as in the Workbook. I have to precise that i have a French AZERTY keyboard. Perhaps is the AZERTY keyboard a problem ?

Hmm isn't the list of available Affinity Photo keyboard shortcuts shown under the apps preferences for you? - Other than that the shortcuts layout looks to be slightly differently organized on a french AZERTY keyboard ...

I think @csalome is saying that most of the documented shortcuts are not assigned, for some reason, when looking at the Preferences dialog.

That keyboard layout is incorrect. It should show an AZERTY keyboard, not an AZERTZ keyboard with two Zs!

Maybe don't know how it looks for other localizations. However usually this should be part of the apps language localization settings and in cases where certain language settings aren't included/supported these normally should fall back to the defaults (I assume probably English in this case). If french keyboards are supported there should also be a corresponding shortcuts keyb file for that one.

I wonder that your app UI isn't shown in french localization (buttons, pull downs etc.) there if it is setup to that one?

I apologize if I'm over-simplifying, but I can't help but notice that the OP shows us a screenshot of his Preferences dialog and, in his first post, says "there are only a few shortcuts." It's important to remember (and perhaps not completely obvious) that the top left of the Preferences dialog has two drop down menus. The first is for the various AP Personas, and the second is for the menus and tools, etc. within that persona. This is where you should find all the shortcuts you're expecting.

I have no personal experience with keyboards that don't have the QWERTY setup, but my suspicion is that the problem isn't there. Your keyboard layout should be handled by the system software, and should be taken care of somewhere between pressing the key and sending that input to AP.

You are right.

I have found the shortcuts in the menus, but i get some differences while using some shortcuts.

For example to get the 200% view, i have to shift the ´2' key.

I think that with some practice, it can function.

This Affinity Spotlight article on Keyboard Shortcuts not only has the Mac and Windows (English and German) keyboard shortcuts (as they appear in the Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo workbooks and correct for 1.6.x) but it also includes links to the source .afdesign files so that if you have added your own shortcuts or modified the existing ones, or even use a different keyboard layout, you can make your own customized versions. Please use the links on that page going forward.
