Zip files

Hi. I downloaded onto my iPad Pro from the Affinity Blog  black box DAUB brushes and they came in a zip file. Can anyone explain how this can be opened and the content be put to use? Many thanks, Neil.

Go to App Store and get Documents by Readdle. It’s free and includes a powerful file manager. Copy the zip file to Documents. Tap it to unzip. Oper folder to see brush files. Copy brush file to Dropbox 

Open Affinity Photo and select brush icon. Tap box with 3lines (top right), select import brushes and navigate to Dropbox folder containing brushes. Tap brush file to install.

If you have latest beta copying to Dropbox (cloud) step is unnecessary. You should be able to import directly from Documents.

You could also use the app iZip (free as well) I upload directly to my iCloud so I can use them anywhere.

I’ve downloaded the document app, but can’t find how to unzip the file. Do you have any other advice on how to open them?

Simply tap the filename.zip file and it will unzip in the same folder it it’s a single file or into a folder with the same filename as the zip file if more than one file.

Thank you DM1. Got it sorted in the end, was being blind as a bat!
