They vanish, but they are still there, & if 'Snap to guides' is enabled in the Snapping Manager, items will snap to them. Opening the Guides Manager from the View menu will show their locations, as in this example for a pair of guides above & to the left of the canvas:

Yeah, still there. So only half useless because they cannot be seen.

 

I don't know if this is by design or a limitation. Either way I hope they make an appearance when we can see bleed guides too.


My computer is a nothing-special Toshiba laptop with unremarkable specs running Windows 10 64-bit.
