[AD] [AP] Misc illustrations

Recommended Posts

I’m no expert in this area – a phrase to put on my gravestone perhaps? – but could you do something like one of my quick-and-crude attached examples?
The first two don’t look quite right but the bottom one might have some promise and it’s vector and Gaussian blur only.
Personally I don’t think that adding a little motion blur as a post-production effect using something like Photo would be ‘cheating’ but that’s entirely your decision as it’s your work and your process.

You’re welcome. I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with something that will look great.
I guess there’s a chance that the developers might add new effects – maybe a motion blur – to Designer in later versions.

My friend, you have improved.

Your painting was already great but these new ones are beautiful.

Now please take this as a glimpse of wisdom from someone who likes your work, I believe you should learn and do animation of these using Fusion 9 or any similar software... Spine maybe!

Obviously much functions were used to create this drawing. When creating such type of works it would be handy to have specific names in the Brush- and Layer panels instead of numbers. Hopefully the programs will have this in future.

Sure, but it's also my fault, not to finish a work in a row. ;) I would have kept in mind which brushes I was using.
But it wouldn't happen in a professional situation. Sometimes, I should consider even my hobby illustrations like pro ones.

And I admit it's easier for me with vector drawings, as long as I keep my swatch.

Very neat deigns, I like the style, especially the perspective stuff (e.g. the UFO above the city further up on this page). I think it suits good for a comic. Maybe you could try to make a storyboard for a small scene.

Thank you Phillipp :)
Actually,  I'm very slow with these vector illustrations and it would take forever to make a comics. But I may try some little animation later, I keep it in mind.

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently doing some experiments on semi cartoon characters, both in AD and AP. My first exercise was to draw two portraits with a "bulb" and "reverse bulb" type.  Then I'm having fun doing variations on the features. It takes me a lot of time but I learn some good things.

These are some results, sketches, raster and vector portraits, variations. Reverse bulb will come later...
