Alan9940 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Hello All, Just learned of Affinity Photo and downloaded the beta. Based on the "sneak peek" video on Affinity's beta web pages, it looks like the app has a Photoshop-like Content Aware Fill option, but all I can find is the standard Clone/Heal tools. I've looked through Help and searched these boards, but find no reference to Content Aware Fill. Am I dreaming this stuff up? Thank you for any insight provided. Best regards, AlanH
omegaman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I think you're after the Healing Brush. The icon that looks like a BandAid in the Tool Palette. 2009: 27 inch iMac / Intel Core i5 / 2.66 GHz / 16 GB Memory / System: Yosemite 10.10.3 – PRINCIPAL DESIGN SOFTWARE: QuarkXpress 9.5.1, 10.5 and 2015 / Pinegrow Web Designer / Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo / Acorn
Wheetman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Left click on the healing brush to bring up the options and select 'in painting brush'. That is the equivalent of content-aware.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted February 12, 2015 Staff Posted February 12, 2015 For brushing, like the video, "Hold"-click on the healing brush would be more accurate - you are looking for the "Inpainting" brush.. Alternatively, you can just make a selection (using any tools you choose), then Edit -> Fill.. There is then an "inpainting" option.. Hope this helps, Andy.
Alan9940 Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Thank you Wheetman and Andy...that is exactly what I was looking for! Best regards, AlanH
kirk23 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 In painting fill works forever although. I am not even sure if it works or my mac is hanging . Not even show 100% cpu loading
