CR2-File from Canon 6D Mark II is pink

Recommended Posts

I bought Affinity Photo because my Photoshop couldn't handle de CR2-files made with my new Canon 6D Mark II.

But as soon as I open the CR2 in Affinity Photo, it becomes all pink. Why is that and how can I fix it?

Thanks for your help.

Hi EPAmediamatiker,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Currently our RAW engine (Serif Labs) doesn't support this camera model however if you are running High Sierra you can switch the RAW engine to Apple (Core Image RAW) which already supports it. To do it, with an image opened in Develop Persona, go to menu View ▸ Assistant Manager... and switch the RAW engine in the first dropdown. Reload the image and it should now display correctly. macOS Sierra doesn't offer support for this camera - if you are using it you will have to wait until we add support for it in our own engine (no eta).

It could be due to file type supported by the camera model. Use a photo repair to fix the pink distortion. Are you sure it's not a problem of exposure?
