APerson Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I want to edit my photos and save them to my system. I do not use cloud storage. If that is not possible with affinity, please let me know now so I can cancel my trial. Sorry if this was posted somewhere already, but I just spent many hours today learning how this program works, and I need to cut to the chase. Thank you. Gary_Delta 1 Quote
Staff Callum Posted December 20, 2017 Staff Posted December 20, 2017 Hi Aperson, Welcome to the forums! At the moment you can only export to cloud however in our current beta you can export to system storage so this should be possible in our next update Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
DM1 Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Yes, it is currently possible to export to the iPad without using a Cloud service. A workaround I use while waiting for next update is to use an app such as Documents (free by Readdle), and when export is ready use the Share button (bottom left of screen) to copy the exported file to Documents. Within Documents you can store, launch or move the file (say to the photos app) and access as per normal. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). VivianP Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Callum, When will the beta version that allows exporting to Photos be available as a new release? Quote

You can export as PNG or JPG to photos now. You can’t export the afphoto project file there though. DM1 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 You can however save the afphoto project to Documents (on the iPad). it really is a very useful file manager. Callum why don't you register to access the beta program. Current version appears stable. Paul Mudditt 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). VivianP Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Thanks, I didn't realize that under Share, Save Image saves to Photos and that you can drag and drop to Photos as well. Quote
DM1 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Hi Vivian, you can actually drag straight from the Export screen. Just pick a format from the top eg, jpeg and drag into photos camera roll.
