Am just learning how to work with the program, am Always work with Lightroom and Photoshop. What can I do? In Acdsee, Photoshop and all other programs I can see the exif data but not in Affinity, I don't know why, can I change somewere a setting? - S - Posted December 16, 2017 Share Posted December 16, 2017 Affinity Photo uses a separate process called ExifTool to read the metadata. There was an issue in earlier versions of 1.6 where if non-English characters were used in Windows usernames/file paths, then ExifTool didn't load the Exif metadata into Affinity Photo. This issue was fixed in 1.6.1.93 retail, therefore if the trial you're using is an older version of Affinity Photo than that, then this particular issue should be resolved in the most current retail version (1.6.2.97). Affinity Photo for Windows Update 1.6.1 (& 1.6.2) Available:- Fixed being unable to retrieve EXIF information from files that have non-ANSI characters in their path If you're already running 1.6.2.97 and are still experiencing a problem, then the problem may be due to a similar issue that happens when dragging and dropping an image into Affinity Photo. I.E. If you drag and drop a file from another application (such as a File Explorer) into Affinity Photo, and the file path has non-English characters in it, then the Exif may still not be loaded into Affinity Photo. If this is the case, you may need to open the file by using File > Open until this issue is resolved in a future version.
