In AD-vides i saw some incredible zoom-stunts with factor 20 million of zoom and eg a circle keep perfect rounded.

Here i zoomend in "just" around 7500 times and the plain circle (no contour, fx....) is extremly pixel-like.

Well, the doc-size is set to 72dpi, but thats just a "preview", so i do not understand.

Is this zoom-feature just for AD????

The reason that you are getting the pixelisation on the edge of the ellipse is because you are currently in the Pixel View mode please change this to the Vector mode and the edge will be smooth when you zoom in.

Hi Polygonius,

What DWright suggested is only available in Designer (View Modes). In Affinity Photo we rasterise the view on screen so all vector objects will end up look pixelated when zoomed in. This is by design and it's usually how photo editors work/behave. Affinity Designer, being a vector design software will keep the vectors sharp no matter how much you zoom in.

Thanks guys!

Ok, I was just wondering, i do not need this feature. In the opposite, the pixel-view is more honest, then in the final picture (print or desktop) i get "pixels".

Affinity Photo also include View Modes in Export Persona.

I do not know why exactly in Export Persona, and not also in Photo Persona.

I do not have View Modes in the Affinity Photo Export Persona (macOS 10.12.6 & AP 1.6.6) but I noticed that in Export Persona I do have Snapping on the main menu ... but it is not a Customize Toolbar option:

@Pšenda As you may know, unlike Windows the Mac OS has a single systemwide menubar at the top of the display that changes depending on which app is frontmost. For all except a few apps, that is where the File, Edit, View, etc. menu items appear. There are no View Mode items on the Mac version of Affinity Photo's View menu, so I assume this issue is specific to the Windows version.
