jak
I installed all the Topaz plugins that I had and they worked well. then I installed the Nik plugin folder and the Topaz plugins disappeared from the Affinity Photo filters menu and only two NIk ones show up. Where is the Affinity plugins folder located for Windows? How do I remove a plugin? Specifically Nik.... How do I get the Nik ones to install properly? If I remove the Nik plugins, will the installed Topaz plugins show up? This is a fine program but an online manual would help. Yes, I know there are lots of great videos, but they are not on this topic.
Staff MEB Posted December 14, 2017 Staff Share Posted December 14, 2017 Hi jak, Welcome to Affinity Forums Can you please post a screenshot of Affinity Photo Photoshop Plugins Preferences window so we can see how you have set it up? This will help us track down the issue. Thanks. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
jak
Where do I find the affinity preferences window? The only thing I see is the list of plugins that is under filters or under edit preferences. I am not sure what I am sending is what you want. The topaz filters were all there and working like a charm before Nik. Now they are not listed on the filter drop down. I cannot seem to get a snipping tool capture of that. John Rostron
The Topaz search folders do seem to have gone. Click on Add and navigate to each of the Topaz Plugin folders.(On my PC, Topaz has a separate folder for each plug-in.) Don't forget that you need to restart Affinity after this. From your screenshot, all the NIK ones are recognized but for them to appear on the Filters menu, you will need to tick the Allow "Unknown" plugins to be used box.
