If necessary I can upload one of mine fotos..

Thanks in advance

I think a photo could be very helpful.
In AP, it should not be a problem to get comparable results.

Hi,

i now went through dozens over dozens tutorials on Youtube and learned a lot about AP. But...

the only thing i figured out that my photos do have enough information in the red chanelle, but i'm still unable to improve them. Everything i'm trying out results in a more worse phozto than before. Any help appreciated.

Add an live adjustment layer -> Levels

Klick on Master and select Red

Move the Blackpoint-slider to the beginning of the histogram and on the other side the Whitepoint-slider to the end.

Do this also with Green and Blue

(Please excuse my bad English)

It's hard to say what the actual colours were like without being there so I just had a go at brightening it up a bit.

Oh, and unlike Affinity's way of doing things the "before" picture is on the left and the "after" picture is on the right

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Tap channel mixer adjustment and raise red to say 116%. The photo info will now appear in the red layer (previously black.) Photo looks much better already. Now apply whatever adjustments you like to finish. Maybe Levels and  Clarify.

Hello huebi,
some approaches have been shown to you,
and that's my way how i would edit the photos.
So that you can understand it, I have made the editing in a macro.
Playing with the sliders, so that the photo meets your expectations.

cheers
