This is a really cool effect, was wondering how to achieve this in Affinity Designer. Could someone post a tutorial?

Examples can be found on Google by typing "Plexus Effect" and heading over to the "Images" section.

It should be simple as putting randomly some dots and then leading between them lines.

Effects are just basic glows or gradients.

You can create a node and a line with the required effect then add these into a new asset and then drag them out to the require location on the document and adjust the lines to link the nodes.

Hi tanujboy,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Probably the simplest way to create these is by using the Layer Effects in Affinity Designer. As MBOROWIEC and DWright suggested draw a few lines and dots or varying widths/radius, then add glow layer effects to these layers. You may also consider to use the Gaussian Blur on some of them to add some depth to the plexus effect.

I tried making an example. It's not near as good as the images I came across, but hopefully, it can help you learn how to start off. What I did here is since there is no symmetrical pattern, I took the Trapezoid Tool and made several duplicates overlapping each other. Each was a light shade of pink and in one nested layer. To the parent layer, I added a gaussian blur and an outer glow of dark purple. Then in a new layer, I used the Star Tool to place 7-pointed stars on the different intersections. For each star shape (not parent layer), I used a gaussian blur and outer glow. Each star was white, so I used a magenta for the outer glow.

Horrible, aint' it?

i came up with this.

i gave the stroke a white-bleu-white gradiënt and changed the pressure profile.

added a little outer glow.
