cTod54 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Just bought Affinity Designer. I do posters for my bands, and such. I was recreating an logo from an existing jpeg so I would have a scalable vector-based version of it. There are 2 lines of type that are on curved paths. No problem creating that, but one of them has a red squiggly line just below the path that I cannot seem to figure out: A. why it is there. and B. how to make it go away. What silly thing am I doing/ not doing? Quote
A_B_C Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Hi cTod45, and welcome here … The red squiggly line indicates a spelling error in your text … well, a spelling error according to the built-in dictionary which probably doesn’t contain the name of your band. This line will never get exported or printed, when you export or print your logo, but you can make it go away from the canvas by unchecking Text > Spelling > Check Spelling While Typing, should you find it distracting. Hope that helps … Alex Quote
cTod54 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 Absolutely! I knew it was something simple. I have dabbled for years with Quark and Indesign , so I have a clue, but having had Affinity for about 24 hours now, I just wasn't sure. Thank you so much. A_B_C 1 Quote
