Export high resolution .EPS file

Recommended Posts

Could someone supply the exact settings I need to export a .png file as a high res .eps file?

The original .png file is approximately 600 KB and I need the .eps file to be about the same size.

Currently, when I export this file it is far smaller than I need it - approximately 34 KB.

Many thanks

What do you mean by 'far smaller than I need it'? If your eps file is of sufficient quality, then a smaller file size is a bonus. Seems like a case of "Never mind the quality, feel the width"!

What content dou You have in that file, only vector elements? If so, that You need know that vector files DO NOT HAVE resolution as is. So it's good.

And resolution is no about file size so don't be worry :)

I Assume that You have redraw PNG file into vector, is that correct? If so, You'll be good.

If you start with a png file, you can't change its resolution without resampling it. That will inherently reduce the quality of the image because resampling to a higher resolution means adding pixels that are not present in the original, based on some algorithmic method that basically guesses what they should be with varying degrees of accuracy. If some loss of quality is acceptable to you it can be done in Affinity prior to exporting. The method depends on which Affinity app you are using, so if you need help with that please tell us which one you use.

Aside from that, why are you exporting to the eps format for print work?
