Hello all, I am very new to this affinity photo and I am proud to be one of the user now.

Today I tried drag and drop my photo into Affinity Photo, but the photo turn out to be green and black instead of showing me the true color.

I appreciate someone who can help me what setting should I do here and get it done correctly.

Thank you.

Hi.

In order to be able to help you it would be very useful if you could attach the particular image you have the problem with to your next reply.  That way, we fellow-users can see what happens if we open it on our machines and so, hopefully, point you in the right direction.

BTW, as requested by v_kyr, we also really need to know exactly which version of Affinity Photo you have.

Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770.

Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus.  Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2.

iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.

Hello,

Thanks for helping.

Affinity Photo Version 1.6.1.93, attached is the photo I am talking about.

Any photo, jpeg or even tiff, the result will be like this once I import to AP. This image is after I export as jpg.

That looks odd, you should look if any and what color ICC profile is associated with those images. Usually something like sRGB should display Ok on Win systems here. Also look how other viewers show up these images and with which associated ICC profile etc.

If nothing works (changing ICC profiles inside AP) then reset or reinstall the app!

It is indeed weird to have my imported photo became like this.
So I decided to uninstall the entire program, re-download the program and install it.

Viola!

It is back to normal!

I am so glad now.

Thank you for the help!

By the way, under Swatches, how to I set the RGB sliders?

The Swatches panel is normally used to add a color to an existing application or document palette. You can do that by selecting the color in the Color panel & clicking on the Add current color to palette button (looks like an artist's palette) in the Swatches panel, with the desired palette selected.

To edit an existing color swatch in a palette, double-click on it. You can choose to use RGB sliders or any of the other color select options you see in the Colors panel. Note that not all palette types allow you to edit their color swatches, but you should be able to do this for any that you have created.

For more about this, see the built-in help topic "Swatches panel." It is in the Workspace > Panels section.
