why is it every time I come to visit the forum I get redirected to serif.com?

This link works as expected for me, sending me to the forums overview page with the links for the Support, Learn & Share, & Beta sub-forums.

 

Are you saying that does not work for you, or do you mean something else?

No problems in Internet Explorer.  What browser and OS are you using?

@walt.farrell has asked the right questions. Anything that is not recognised will redirect to Affinity.serif.com or www.serif.com depending on where the unrecognised bit is, so for example

http://urldoesnotexist.affinity.serif.com

will redirect to

https://affinity.serif.com

and

http://forum.urldoesnotexist.serif.com

will redirect to

http://www.serif.com

So if you have mistyped affinity in your url or shortcut this is the expected behaviour, for example 

http://forum.afinity.serif.com

 

So @TheFeralOne what happens when you click on this correct link?

And how about this one?

If those two both end up on www.serif.com then no wonder you are frustrated but if they both work, check the URL you are using carefully. I suspect that you are using a broken shortcut, but it's just a guess

 

Finally, Alfred was not joking when he asked for the URL, as you see from my explanation it's vital that we know what you are doing to understand the problem.

The address 'us.webgains.com' is part of the Webgains affiliate network, suggesting that you’re clicking on an affiliate link instead of a direct link.

The curious part of the destination url you are seeing is the "source=USwebgains&siteid=91011". That looks like you are coming from another site, so perhaps we should be asking what page are you finding the link to the forum on?

I saved the forum as a bookmark, the forum loads after the forum loads in the browser that's when redirected 

@Alfred @PatrickConnor

 

What I found is this doesn't happen in firefox, so I uninstalled Chrome, then reinstalled chrome and the redirect hasn't happened yet.
