Peregrin
I was thinking it would be useful if you could hide a segment of a curve's stroke. I've been running into a lot of situations where this would be useful. Moho Pro, for instance, has the "Hide Edge" tool, which hides a part of the stroke between two points (pictured above) Rudolphus
Guest
Hello, Peregrin, There is of course a way to achieve this, but it is only a workaround that is not very practical. Draw a shape, duplicate it and paste it on itself. Put the filling of the lower form in color, without stroke. Put the upper shape without filling, with a stroke. With the "Node"tool, insert nodes on the upper stroke of the top shape on both sides of the stroke portions to be hidden. Select these nodes,"Break Curve" and delete the line between the nodes. Not very easy to edit it after that, though.
Guest
You're right, it's better to be sure you don't have to make any changes afterwards once this method is used, we would need a dedicated tool, as you ask for it.
bpfoto
Did this ever get addressed in new features?

erdteil
You can use the pressure curve to achieve the desired effect (except the rounded caps — though with some tweaking…), as you can see in the screenshot.
