I am sorry if this has been discussed.  I am new to forums in general and really have no clue how to search stuff.  I am looking to get Affinity Designer or Photo.  I do a lot of vinyl work and designing it, but at the same time, i would love to be able to fix photos and make cool changes to them.  Is there enough in designer to actually change photos?  Or do you truly need both programs?

Start with Photo. It is similar to Photoshop. You can do some vector work in it also. IF you get to a point where you want to do design work, with lines, curves and combining objects, THEN take a look at designer

There are a ton of tutorials on Youtube that will let you see what it is all about even though you will not have the program with which to follow along. Here are 2

Affinity Revolution has a great course out there if you have an interest
