Export from AP iPad with transparency?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to Export from AP iPad with transparency? I know we can import and use files with transparency but I have such a file that I have made some colour changes to and trying to export as a png with transparency but the background is saving as plain white.

Hi donka,

Welcome to the forums.

You should be able to export with transparency using the default PNG-24 preset. Some image viewers may show the transparency as white. Have you tried opening or importing the image over the top of another to check that you can see image below the transparent area. If you're still having issues, save a copy of your Affinity file and PM me a link and I'll check it.

Thanks Lee.

I'll share a copy tonight when I'm back home. I was using the PNG-24 preset and it definitely has transparency in AP as confirmed by the chequerboard background. Exporting via Share to Photos or normal export to Files and pull it back into AP using place image and it has a white background. May be something stupid I'm doing though.
