SlipperyBrick Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Hey Guys, I have this problem which I've never been able to fix, I have a rough idea what it is but don't fully understand the problem and therefore I have no clue how to fix it haha. I'm still new to Designer (it converted me from Adobe products :D) and I'm still figuring out the difference between creating a project and having a canvas to work on and then creating an artboard (I'm not too sure what the difference is, but that's a question for another time). I've noticed though when I create a new document and hit the create button I get a nice grey background with a canvas to work on. The strange thing is the canvas color isn't exactly white, it's more yellow. This is more pronounced when I create a new document and check the create artboard button. I get a canvas that is an off white color and a background that is no longer grey but an off white as well. I'm curious as to why this is happening, as I said I have a rough idea and I think it is something to do with my monitor and it's color profile but I'm not to sure how to fix this. When I work on my Surface Pro I get a white which looks like white but not on my desktop. My monitor is pretty old (not even HD by today's standards) so maybe it's time for me to get a new monitor, unless there is a way to fix this? Thanks P.S, this program kicks Illustrators butt. I'm totally buying Affinity Photo and never going back to Adobe Quote
myclay Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 you need to change the ICC profile of your Monitor to sRGB. Edit; Artboards are like pages of which you can add a couple. When you open as an example an PDF with multiple sites, those get spawned on Artboards. adilla4lyf Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I have a similar problem. My pics have a purple tint to them.. I don't have this problem in PS, so I don't believe it's the monitor, (at least in my situation), is there anything else I can do? Quote
