Unable to set WB preset in Develop.

Recommended Posts

Open an image.

Make adjustments in Basic including WB. In this instance change to 5500K.

Create preset named "test".

Close AP. Open with a Raw image. The default WB is 4635K.

Select the preset "test".

The WB does not change from default.

The screen shot shows the settings as I saved them on the left then, on the right, opening again and selecting the

preset. Notice the WB does not open or change temp if you do open it.

Is this a known bug or normal behavior? AP 166. OS 10.12.6

Thanks.

The AP WB help tells ...

Quote

In Develop Persona, the image uses the camera's "As Shot" White Balance values by default. Checking the adjustment's check box displays those values, which can be reverted to at any time by unchecking the adjustment's check box.

... which sounds to me as if those "As Shot" White Balance in cam values are always used by default. Also from your screenshot it looks like WB and Profiles thus maybe always default to the image used defaults here instead.

Yes, AP is using as shot WB unless I manually change the slider. But why?

The reason for a preset is to make it easy to choose certain settings.

Why does AP record exposure, shadows/highlights etc. but not WB in the preset?

I think this might be an old problem - my presets already included one called Test WB!  Under Windows 10 I find the that the preset works (but doesn't change the slider value) until I close AP, after which the WB adjustment is lost.
