To try using iCloud Drive to access my raw files in AP iPad, I logged into iCloud.com and uploaded one of my Sony NEX-6 raw files to iCloud Drive. How come I can't see the file when I tap "Import from Cloud"? I'm correctly logged into my Apple ID on the iPad. Also, in the Help file section regarding opening files from the cloud it says that I can tap on "Locations" and access (or add?) other cloud storage. I thought, maybe, since the iCloud Drive thing isn't working I could use my Dropbox account. But, when I tap "Import from Cloud" the only thing I can tap on is Cancel. I'm so confused...

Update: Just watched the "Opening and Saving" tutorial and when he discusses opening files from the cloud, there is a "Locations" button in the upper-left corner of the iCloud Drive screen. I don't have that button! Anybody have any idea why? Thanks!

I found a Sony NEX-6 raw file online and downloaded it to my Dropbox. It opened from there without any problems.

When I choose ‘Import From Cloud’, there’s a ‘Browse’ menu on the left. Tapping the two-way diagonal arrow at the top of the screen collapses the menu and a ‘Locations’ link appears in the top left-hand corner.

I copied my sample raw file from Dropbox to iCloud Drive, and it opened just as readily from there.

Hi Alfred,

Sorry, I don't see what you've described; no Browse menu on the left. See the attached. I tried swiping from the left thinking, maybe, that menu was hidden, but nothing.

Also, any idea why the NEX-6 raw file I uploaded to my iCloud Drive doesn't show up on the attached screen? It should be there, right?

I’m quite surprised that you don’t see any other cloud storage locations, Alan. Do you have the Dropbox app installed, or any other cloud storage apps?

Duh...didn't have the Dropbox app installed and logged in. After doing that, the "Locations" button magically appeared! I downloaded the file and it opened in AP as it should. Thanks!!

But, that doesn't explain why the file doesn't show up on my iCloud Drive page. If I'm logged into my Apple ID (which I am), shouldn't the AP app see the file?

Update: I finally figured it out. For some reason--no clue why--I had to go into the Settings app, turn off iCloud, then turn it back on. Boom! Files now show up on the AP iCloud Drive page. Thanks, again, for all your help and suggestions.
