IndigoMoon
Any ideas how to do this? Of course, there is a shortcut for a new layer, but I would like to skip this step. If not possible, maybe something for feature requests like a checkbox in the new documents dialog. Thx!
R C-R
There is no option to automatically create a layer for a new document but the Assistant Manager offers the option to automatically create a pixel layer when painting with no layer selected. This works for the Paint Brush, Pixel, & Gradient tools but not with the Flood Fill Tool or (obviously) with tools that modify existing pixels. Also, creating vector shapes or text automatically creates & places them on their own layers. carl123
Create a new document with a layer in it Save that to your desktop (e.g. newdoc.afphoto) When you click on it AP will automatically start and open the document with the layer in it or if AP is already running it will create a new document with the layer in it Tip: Make the document read only so you cannot accidentally overwrite it, you will be forced to do a Save as.. I think unless you make the file read only, AP will just open it instead of creating a new document.
