Brushes I have used are not understandeble

I got this question from Germany:

"What I have a lot of trouble with are the vector and pixel brushes.

Let's say I drew something using a brush, left the file for two weeks, and now I want to continue working on it or start a new drawing in the same look, that is, with the same brush. Then I'm somehow unable to figure out which brush I've actually used. In my brush panel, the one that I've used last, regardless of which file I use, is emphasized, which in any case leads to considerable confusion (unlike ai: I'll click the corresponding line in the document, and that for that one Line used brush is colored, so perfectly traceable even with multiple brushes in a document). No matter if I click on the curve in the layer panel or on the top of the context bar: I get into the menu to edit the brush, but nowhere stands, as the brush is called and from which category it comes.
That's impossible?"

I didn´t recognize this problem, but it is true. I can´t understand after a long time, which brush was used.

It would be lovely if you can fix this

Best Greetings
