I'd like to select objects (with the move tool) in the way it work in Illustrator. That is, for e.g. a square I just draw the mouse rectangle above one corner and then it will be selected. With Affinity Designer I have to drag the mouse rectangle across all four corners which I find less effective. Is this possible? I didn't find any setting.

Hi michael50,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

You can set Affinity apps to behave the same way: go to Affinity Designer/Photo Preferences, Tools section and tick Select object when intersects with selection marquee.

Note: You can also achieve the same result if you press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while drawing the selection marquee without changing the Prefs option.
