Hello, I'm trying to layout a sheet in affinity designer with the following specification: 13" x  22",  Left and Right margins of 0.5 in each, Top margin 0.125 and Bottom 0.5 in.

There are 1-row and  Columns 6 rows, row gap 0.125 and column gap of 0.125  Bleed area guide is 0.5 in.

Can anyone give me guidance on how to set these dimensions in Affinity designer?  I will need guides on so I can keep my content in place. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Make a new document, go File > New, set the Document Units to inches, then set your Page Size and margins.

After that, go File > Edit Document and you can set the Bleed (see the fourth tab in the middle)

Go View > Guides Manager and you can set guides.

You can also go View > Show Rulers and drag guides off the rulers.

View > Show Grid will place a non-printing grid to align to.

You can't do automatic columns like a word processor, so you will have to set ruler guides.

Can This be done in Affinity Photo easier?? I'm more comfortable there and the transition seems to go smoother for me. I really need to get the columns and row gap dead right. I can work from there!

Thanks for everything.

You can set up a grid to have fixed row / column dimensions, and have a gap (gutter) between them.

This assumes that you know the sizes that you want the rows and columns to be, and that they are uniform.
