Mr. K Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Please add the ability to right click the file title at the top of the Affinity window to see the finder path of the file. This is a very useful feature and pretty much standard on current Mac OS apps. Mann Artt 1 Quote
Alfred Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 In the Windows versions of the apps, the full path is displayed in a tooltip when I hover over the filename on the document tab. carl123 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
carl123 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 You also have File > Open Folder in Explorer option in Windows Not sure if there is a similar option on the Mac Alfred 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. I do think it could be made simpler and consistent with how other Mac OS apps do this when the title is right clicked, that's my wish: eszet and Mann Artt 2 Quote
Mann Artt Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 I second the above. I'm glad to see Reveal in Finder exists, though! OMG. Was about to lose what's left of my mind. I sometimes have 10+ files open for days at a stretch while I'm working on projects, and I often forget where I've parked them. The irony here is having many folders for organization, and trying to be very organized, leads to scads of nested folders, which gets confusing in and of itself. Or maybe it's just age and creeping senility... Quote
Phatman Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Any update on this, when you're working on files locally and Dropbox it can get confusing as to which one you're editing. Simple things like this can be annoying. Maybe have an option to show the full path or just filename in the tab header? Quote flickr - https://www.flickr.com/photos/s-t-e-v-e/
Seroude Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Still no update? also annoying when working on files located on local servers. "Reveal in Finder" not good enough in those situation and Designer should follow MacOS interface rules (Command-click the title should show full path) Quote
shazk Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Has there been an update to this before I update my Affinity Photo version? Right clicking would be ideal to do as hovering and waiting for it to show is a real pain in the neck and slows my work Quote
kimtorch Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 This is essentially standard behaviour on a Mac so I'm always surprised when I try to do it and it doesn't exist. From a developer's perspective I wouldn't think it would be a huge task. Quote
Michael Stringham Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Please add this (hopefully simple) feature request: Right-click on the filename to reveal the full path of the file. This would be SO helpful in my work! (FYI, I am using the Mac version of Affinity Publisher 2, and loving it) Quote
Phatman Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 I guess this simple feature is never going to happen Quote flickr - https://www.flickr.com/photos/s-t-e-v-e/
