Hello and welcome to the forums. I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems and I wish that I could help you but unfortunately I don't know the answer. Someone else here might be able to help you out but you might want to mention what system you are on (Windows or Mac) and which OS version as well.

Do you mean that the AutoCAD files have actually been renamed?

  • Filename.dwg -> Filename.pdf or Filename.afphoto or Filename.afdesigner

If so, (then that is seriously weird!) but you could just rename the files.

 

Or do yo mean that the file association has changed to open with Affinity?

  • Double click Filename.dwg and it opens in Affinity.

Then this is slightly less odd - but still unexpected! You need to restore the file associations. The exact way to do this depends on your OS but Google should help you out.
