Ok, that is clear, but in PS there is solid colour layer which can be readjusted just by double clicking it and choosing a new colour, is there such option in AP?

You can add a New Fill Layer via the Layers panel. It will initially be filled with the current foreground colour.

 

Another alternative is to simply cover the canvas with a rectangle.
