Working with multiple photos

Recommended Posts

This is a presales question.  I know the damn DAM isn't out and won't be for some time.  However, I'd like to know if I can do the following things in Affinity currently without a DAM.

  • Copying changes (RAW adjustments) from one edited RAW image to another. (not talking about local adjustments)
  • Export of multiple photos at a time

I typically do photo sets.  Once I've got the RAW adjustments for a scene down, I copy them to the rest of the photos in that scene with minor tweaks.  Can this, and exporting, be done in Affinity Photo?

You can save a group of adjustments as Presets. Like white balance, exposure, sharpening etc.

They can then be applied to other photos in one go.

Edit: One Photo at a time !

What do you mean by exporting multiple photos at a time?

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Wait.  Seriously? You cannot mass apply a preset to a photo set?

  • What about selecting 10 - 20 images and telling Affinity to export to JPEG? Can this be done?
  • What about resizing the images of the photoset?  For example, I may want to export 20 images at 1280px width.  Is that possible?

Check out

File > New batch job

to see if that does what you want

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

The presets in the Develop persona can't be used with a batch job as you can't record macros in the Develop persona.  There are things that can be done to RAW files via a batch job, and that includes resizing and exporting to JPEG.
