jackamus
Is there any technical reason why, when you group a number of objects, that their curve nodes can be visible? Alfred
Did you mean to say that the nodes cannot be visible, Jack? When the Node Tool is active, Cmd-clicking (or Ctrl-clicking on Windows) on a vector element in a group will show you the nodes for that element. As I'm sure you'll already know, any previously selected elements will remain selected if you also hold down the Shift key as you click. Apologies if I've misunderstood your question (in which case, please clarify). jackamus
Hi Alfred, Yes I did mean that and thank you for crediting me with 'already knowing' I didn't! This solves the problem. it would be nice to 'Toggle' between 'all showing' and 'not all showing'. Alfred 1 Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! The problem is, if you choose the Node Tool and select one object in a group and press Cmd/Ctrl+A, you'll select all of the nodes of that object instead of selecting all of the objects in the group. However, having Shift-clicked multiple objects you can simply click one of them to go back to a single selection. jackamus
Next problem - how do you reinstate a shape that has been converted into curves many moves earlier? Simply 'Undoing' is not a very good option. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools. Alfred
Take a look at the snapshots topic in the Help. Alfred
When you click on 'Snapshots' in the 'View > Studio' submenu you should see the Snapshots panel in the Studio. There are four icons at the top of the panel: one for restoring the state to the selected snapshot, one for adding a snapshot, one for deleting the selected snapshot, and one for creating a new document from the selected snapshot. There's a brief video tutorial below (for APh, but the feature works the same way in AD): Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
