Coastalguy
I found posts on options requested for scanning, but one said not available but the other saying it was under the File -> import menu, which I could not find on the trial. As I use scanning heavily, I was wondering if this option, if not already there and I missed it, would be forthcoming?
Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 19, 2017 Coastalguy Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums For various reasons (most of them Microsoft's fault) the Windows version of Affinity software doesn't support scanning directly into the software. The Apple OS makes this function straightforward so there is a difference between the two desktop versions in this respect. The trial functionality is the same as the purchased version. Alfred
If you're on Windows and you do a lot of scanning, you might want to consider using VueScan. If you use VueScan and if Affinity is your default program to open tiff (or jpeg) then when you save your scanned image, it will open automatically in Affinity. Almost as good as a plugin! John Rostron
Thanks Alfred. I had assumed that it was to the Hamrick site.
