Creative functionality!

Recommended Posts

Hi team

Great that 1.6 has been released. I’m now wondering what’s on the teams roadmap because the current roadmap doesn’t show much in the way of creative functionality. A number of the following items have been raised before but don’t show in any roadmap.

  • Gradients in swatches panel should also be available in FX gradient overlay and is not at present. Also not available in the gradient tool panel.
  • plugin support for Filterforge, Flood 2 and On1 Photo Raw 2017/18. I see a recent post says filterforge and Affinity are talking and a promise of an upgrade to make it work is on the way.
  • No standard black to transparent gradient as in Photoshop.
  • No multiple gradient stroke on single layer.
  • No pattern overlay in FX, this stops to ability to bring in styles in full from Photoshop.
  • Bevel and emboss FX contour and texture tab would be an advantage.
  • Filter gallery or something similar as in Photoshop would be a bonus.

The above all add very creative functions which I hope will surface soon as at present I still at times have to revert to Photoshop for these functions. I’m only pointing these out as I can’t see much in the way of added creative functionality on any roadmap or am I not looking in the right place.

Or do you think any other "Gradients in swatches panel"?

Hi Psenda

Actually I can get all my gradients by selecting the gradient tool and selecting swatches and they show up there. Still strange how they don’t show in the gradient tab though. I have no idea why I could not get them before. I also have black to white swatch which works the same as black to transparent in Photoshop. All is well with the world.
